Penny focuses her practice on the biotechnology and life science industry. She represents medical device, biologic, and pharmaceutical companies, and research institutions in a wide range of legal matters that arise in connection with the development, protection and commercialization of their unique products and technologies.
Penny’s experience as in house counsel to a global pharmaceutical company and partner in a top 100 law firm have provided her with a unique understanding of the issues and challenges faced in the regulatory, legal and commercial arenas.
She provides counsel and strategic advice on a wide array of matters including licensing and collaboration agreements, research matters, such as clinical trial strategy and contracting on a domestic and international basis, product launch initiatives, investigator initiated studies, manufacturing and distribution agreements, import export, compassionate use, regulatory compliance, and subject protection and privacy matters.
Penny earned a bachelors degree in nursing from Seattle Pacific University and her law degree at St. Louis University. Contributing to Penny’s unique understanding of the life science industry is her experience as a registered nurse in the areas of bone marrow transplant and renal dialysis.
Penny is a native of Seattle, Washington and has lived in Atlanta, Georgia for the past 18 years. Her hobbies include animal rescue, travel, entrepreneurial adventures, and reading.
